Mark Lewis and his two sons, Tyler and Chris, started TMS Racing in 1998 as Trinity Motorsports. Mark originally planned on building a Street Stock that they would be able to occasionally race at the local racetrack, Holland International Speedway in Holland, New York. That idea didn’t last long. Tyler and Chris quickly realized racing was something they wanted as a career. Fueled by pure passion, desire, and determination, the two high school students and their father started to develop TMS Racing into the professional organization that it is today.

In the fall of 2000, they set their sights on bigger and better things and moved with their mother and sister to North Carolina, landing about 45 minutes north of Charlotte, North Carolina. They continued to hone their racing skills, building and preparing each race vehicle themselves. With only one prior start in any type of racing prior to 2001, Chris worked very hard over the next few seasons to get valuable seat time. In 2004 the brother duo clicked, running competitively at tracks all across the Southeast in the Late Model Super Trucks. After taking 2005 off to build a Late Model Stock Car,
TMS Racing made six starts in 2006 at Hickory Motor Speedway before a major wreck ended their season short. Never ready to stay down, the self-funded TMS Racing bounced back, rebuilding their car for the '07 season. TMS Racing rolls into the 2007 race season with a positive outlook and a simple goal of contending for each race they enter.

Today, TMS Racing operates out of a 4,000 square foot facility in Newton, North Carolina and have developed themselves into one of the most quality, professionally promoted NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car teams on the East coast. With an emphasis on attention to detail, professionalism, and quality craftsmanship, TMS Racing plans to continue racing their way into one of NASCAR’s top three divisions. (Nextel Cup Series, Busch Series, Craftsman Truck Series)
