Hung Throttle Slows TMS Season

NEWTON, NC – After a great start to the 2008 race season for TMS Racing, bad luck struck during practice for the 4th Round of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Hickory Motor Speedway.
TMS Racing had settled into a three-way tie for 3rd in the track point standings but a hung throttle sent the #35 Chevrolet Impala SS into the turn two wall, full speed, brutally damaging the teams machine. “It certainly was a hard hit,” commented driver Chris Lewis. The team, without any full time sponsorship was racing on a race to race basis, but had made a commitment to run for the championship after the strong start to the season.
“The ‘what if’s’ were hard to look at, but it’s racing, and we’re not about to just lie down,” continued Lewis. “We’ll put it back, right where it was. We’ll be back. We’ll be better, that’s a promise.”
TMS Racing currently hopes to be back by the end of the 2008 race season in which they may attempt several season ending racing around the Carolina’s. Sponsorship is available for these races. You can get more information about sponsoring TMS Racing from their website, www.tmsracingonline.com, or you can call 828.612.4333. Stay tuned for the latest information.
